1-16 AXIS PCI-BUS MOTION CONTROLLER OFFERS MORE POWER AND MODULAR FLEXIBILITY

CARLSBAD, CA --- May 1, 2001 --- PMC's new multi-axis PCI-bus motion control card offers OEM machine builders a proven and powerful multi-processor DSP hardware architecture to control from 1 to 16 servo and/or stepper motors and up to 144 I/O from a single, economical PC card. Graphical software tools and a comprehensive high-level programming API are bundled with the card at no extra charge.

The DCX-PCI 300 Series motion controller card is the latest addition to PMC's proven and popular multi-processor DCX motion controller family. It is designed for high-performance control of any combination of up to 16 servo and/or stepper motors from a single, economical PC card. Available in ISA-bus, VME-bus and now in a PCI form factor, The DCX 300 Series provides a wide range of motion control capabilities for OEM machine builders. Includes many advanced features such as on-board Dual-DAC sine commutation for cost-effective control of AC sinewave brushless or linear motors. A 40 MHz DSP is dedicated to each axis - guaranteeing robust & consistent performance no matter how many axes are controlled. Includes PMC’s Motion Integrator™ software tools for tuning, setup & diagnostics, an easy-to-use on-board motion command language and extensive libraries for C, C++, Delphi & Visual Basic programmers.
