FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NEW LOW-COST MOTION CONTROLLERS DELIVER POWERFUL FEATURES The MultiFlex PCI Series controllers provide 1-8 axes of high-performance servo and stepper motor control in a low-cost, half-length PCI-bus card. OEM base prices for the 8-axis MultiFlex PCI 1440 and 4-axis MultiFlex PCI 1040 start at $1195 and $995 respectively, with additional volume discounts for OEM’s. “Our MultiFlex family of motion controllers lowers the cost of advanced motion control technology for OEM machine builders - without sacrificing the speed and reliability OEM’s count on in today’s competitive environment”. “This product-line considerably furthers our mission to help OEM’s build more reliable, accurate and cost-effective machines”. The cards feature a 64-bit floating-point CPU for high-speed, high-resolution motion and I/O control, coordinated or independent multi-axis motion, s-curve & parabolic trajectories, high-speed I/O (<1 microsecond latencies), 60 uncommitted digital I/0, and on-board opto-isolation and matched twisted-pair signals for superior robustness and reliability. Low-cost options include eight channels of 14-bit analog inputs as well as auxiliary encoders for additional servo feedback or closed-loop stepper control. All software is included at no extra charge, including dynamic libraries for C/C++, Pascal, LabVIEW and Visual Basic programmers, as well as PMC’s Motion Integrator™ suite of graphical servo tuning and integration tools. PMC’s standard 6-month warranty is also included. |
