Contents ======== - Introduction - Getting Started - What's New - Contacting PMC Introduction ============ Motion Integrator helps you connect and test all your motion control circuitry quickly and easily. The user is directed to the appropriate Online Help files containing wiring diagrams and detailed circuit information based on installed hardware. Point and click test panels eliminate the need to write programs for initial and follow up functionality testing. The Motion System Setup utility steps you through configuration and testing of limit switches, encoders, and motors. Upon completion you will be ready to tune the motors using the Servo Tuning utility. Motion Integrator also features Digital and Analog I/O utilities. Getting Started =============== Motion Integrator includes a graphical setup utility that makes installation easy. Motion Integrator uses PMC's Motion Control API (MCAPI) to communicate with the motion controller and requires MCAPI Version 3.00 or higher. You should install and configure MCAPI before you install Motion Integrator. To install Motion Integrator run the Setup program located on the Motion Integrator program disk and follow the program intructions. What's New ========== Version 1.4.1 ------------- New Features - All applications (EXE) now include a product name string ('Motion Integrator') and product version (i.e. overall Integrator version) in the version resource to make it easier to identify the Motion Integrator version that is installed. - Version 1.4.1 includes the following components: Analog Panel, Ver 1.2.1 Digital Panel, Ver 1.2.1 Motion Panel, Ver 1.2.1 Mover Panel, Ver 1.2.1 Tuning, Ver 2.5.1 Bug Fixes - Fixed handling of MC500 Analog I/O modules on the DCX-PCI100 and DCX-PCI300 controllers in the Analog test panel - Fixed problem with motion panel help menu launching Digital Panel help instead of Motion Panel help (BR #90) Version 1.4.0 ------------- New Features - All applications can now have the controller ID to use specified on the command line ('/b 3' would open the controller at ID 3), so user applications can launch the setup panels more intelligently. The axis number can also be spefied in servo tuning - '/a 4' selects axis 4 - Help has been reorganized to make it more consistent. Each application now has its own help file, there is also a 'Master' help file that points to the idividual help files - Added support for the MultiFlex PCI 1000 series controllers - Version 1.4.0 includes the following components: Analog Panel, Ver 1.2.0 Digital Panel, Ver 1.2.0 Motion Panel, Ver 1.2.0 Mover Panel, Ver 1.2.0 Tuning, Ver 2.5.0 Bug Fixes - Changed the Point-To-Point/Cycle and Abs/Rel pushbuttons in Motor Mover from the "PUSHLIKE" style to standard radio buttons - the PUSHLIKE button graphics are too vague on Windows XP (BR #75) - Fixed problem where using the file open or file save dialogs and navigating out of the default (program) folder would cause Servo Tuning to loose its help file (BR #76) - Fixed installation feature text used during custom install (BR #6) - Fixed problem that would prevent the Analog Calibration Wizard from running on Windows NT - Fixed a problem in Motor Mover where if the initial controller open failed (such as when there are no motor modules installed) you would be unable to select a different installed controller Version 1.3.0 ------------- New Features - Support for Windows XP Theming - Support for MC302, MC362 modules - All modules require MCAPI 3.0 or highr, they now gracefully warn the user and exit if an earlier version is found - Tuning supports the DCX-PCI100 controller and modules - Tuning now correctly handles the MC360 stepper module - useful for tuning closed-loop stepper operation - Version 1.3.0 includes the following components: Analog Panel, Ver 1.1.1 Digital Panel, Ver 1.1.1 Motion Panel, Ver 1.1.1 Mover Panel, Ver 1.1.1 Tuning, Ver 2.4.2 Bug Fixes - Fixed initialization problem in Digital.exe where buffer was overwritten - Fixed handling of the stop warning flag in mover.exe - Mover.exe now limits operation to first eight installed axes Version 1.2.0 ------------- New Features - Support for the DCX-PCI300 - Support for MC320 module - Version 1.2.0 includes the following components: Analog Panel, Ver 1.1.0 Digital Panel, Ver 1.1.0 Motion Panel, Ver 1.1.0 Mover Panel, Ver 1.1.0 Tuning, Ver 2.3.1 Bug Fixes - Wizards are now backwards compatible with versions of Windows that do not have the Internet Explorer shell extensions installed - The tuning panel (in motion.exe) will now corrrectly launch tuning for controllers other than the default controller at ID #0 - Window hadling code in all analog.exe, digital.exe and motion.exe has been overhauled, to provide more efficient (faster, less flicker) displays - Motion panel now remembers what controller you are working with - Motion panel wizards are now "owned" by the motion panel main window - prevents program from exiting while a wizard is active - Fixed problem that prevented setting of reference voltage on Analog panel for some controllers - Superfluous Wizard panels have been removed, layout of Wizard panels is now a cleaner, easier to read Version 1.1.0 ------------- New Features - New to version 1.10 of the Motion Integrator is the Motor Mover program. This program implements a multi-axis simple motor move panel. Contacting PMC ============== Technical support is available between the hours of 8:00AM and 5:00PM, Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.
